The Space Foundation, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, annually hosted several space symposia events including the National Space Symposium, Strategic Space and Defense, Florida Space, and Pacific Space conferences. All of which generally consisted of the same outline – program agenda, speaker, sponsor, and exhibit listings, online and print registration.

I devised a system, first developed in ColdFusion and later ported to PHP, that allowed the Space Foundation staff to manage the various sections of the site with little involvement from the Interactive Media department. To launch a new event Web site, the Interactive Media department only had to create the "shell" or template that collaborated with the print marketing theme and change the event ID in a single configuration file.

Some of the features include:

• Media and participant registration could be turned on or off at will
• Exhibit and sponsor information was immediate once signed contracts were received
• RSS feeds were published after new speakers were added or press releases were issued
• Up-to-date documents for registrants, exhibitors, and media were available 24-7
• Multiple events running concurently

 This system was used by the Space Foundation from 2001 to mid 2007.
